Grand Canyon West, AZ - Motorcycle daredevil Robbie Knievel jumped 228 feet across the Grand Canyon breaking his own record of 223 feet in Florida in the early 1990's. Knievel appeared not to have any serious injury. Knievel stated that his father, Evel, now recovering from a liver transplant, had always wanted to jump the Grand Canyon, but never had the opportunity.
