Motorcycle Deaths Increase Only Slightly After Helmet Repeal
In the year after the Kentucky helmet law repeal, statistics compiled by the Kentucky State Police report 31 deaths from motorcycle accidents. The year before repeal, there were 29 deaths in motorcycle accidents. Although not what expected, the state police told the General Assembly that the helmet law still should be reinstated, that the comparison may be an anomaly.

Frankfort, KY - In the year after the Kentucky helmet law repeal, statistics compiled by the Kentucky State Police report 31 deaths from motorcycle accidents. The year before repeal, there were 29 deaths in motorcycle accidents.
