Minneapolis, MN - Victory Motorcycles introduced its newest cruiser model at the 60th Annual Sturgis Rally.
The new Victory V92C Deluxe offers all the performance, power and handling of a Victory motorcycle, as well as accessories like a windshield, saddlebags, backrest and passenger floorboards.
"The new Victory V92C Deluxe is a direct response to consumer demands for a comfortable, accessorized cruiser motorcycle that is more conducive to touring," said Tom Tiller, President and CEO, Polaris Industries Inc., parent company of Victory Motorcycles. "Victory is offering great value to our riders with all the accessories that are now standard on the new Deluxe."
Originally launched in the United States on July 4, 1998, Victory is also launching new 2001 versions of its Cruiser and SportCruiser.
"With the more than 200 changes and improvements Victory has made for 2001, it's as if we are introducing three new motorcycles, not just one," said Tiller.
Features include a totally new, smoother, quieter transmission, an all-new clutch design, a smoother-running engine, a narrowed bike and a reduction in overall weight -- not to mention all-new colors for 2001.
The new model introductions come on the heels of Victory's entry into the United Kingdom motorcycle market in July. Named "Cruiser of the Year" its first two years in the United States, Victory plans to shake up the United Kingdom's heavyweight cruiser market.
Victory's first two models, the Cruiser and the SportCruiser, are now available to motorcyclists in the U.K.
The Victory V92C Cruiser is a made-in-the-U.S.A. heavyweight cruiser featuring a unique combination of looks, performance, and sound, which makes riders feel like they are king of the road. With a displacement of more than 92 cubic inches (1507 cc), its engine is one of the largest V-twins available.
The Victory V92SC SportCruiser, a first of its kind hybrid, offers riders superior handling, braking, outstanding power and overall performance. It has 50-mm front forks, the largest on any cruiser motorcycle, as well as a Fox rear Shox and a 180 mm-wide rear tire that delivers incredible traction.
Victory Motorcycles are priced competitively, starting at $13,399 for the Cruiser and SportCruiser, and $14,599 for the new Deluxe.
Victory Motorcycles are available at more than 300 dealers in the U.S., Canada and the U.K. Victory also sells a complete line of parts, garments and accessories to accompany its motorcycles. Additional information about Victory can be found online at http://www.victory-usa.com.
