Medina, MN - Victory Motorcycles, the four-year old division of Polaris Industries, hits the cruiser market of the motorcycle industry with news of their factory Custom Order Program.
For a limited time, until September 27th, Victory's new Custom Order Program enables buyers to customize their unique Classic Cruiser or Touring Cruiser at Victory dealer locations nationwide or by visiting Victory's website, www.victory-usa.com. This new program is the first factory customization program ever offered by a major American motorcycle manufacturer.
Buyers can select from over 500 custom combinations, including body color, engine and frame color, wheels and tires, and touring and chrome packages. Ordered through a local Victory dealer, each custom design bike is made-to-order with original equipment right off the production line. This potentially saves the customer over $3,000 versus the cost of creating the same bike with dealer-installed accessories.
"Bikers are all about individuality, and the unique nature of your bike is an expression of your personality," said Mark Blackwell, general manager of Victory Motorcycles. "The Victory Custom Order Program is revolutionary because it makes so many custom combinations readily available and affordable."
This is great news to cruiser buyers - men and women in their 30's, 40's, and 50's who love to ride and who consider owning a customized bike an essential part of the biking experience. Over 90% of all cruiser buyers customize their bikes on an after-sale basis. But until now, having a bike with more than minimal customization has been complicated and costly.
"With Victory's Custom Order Program, my customers know exactly what their custom-designed bike will look like and how much it will cost - before they place their order," says Dean Cross of Warner Outdoor in Bloomington, Minnesota. "My customers have been asking for this, and it gives Victory dealers a unique selling advantage over ourcompetition."
Since the program's introduction in August, over 150,000 people have visited Victory's website where they learn more about the Custom Order Program. At the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally last month, thousands packed the Victory store to get a hands-on experience designing a custom bike, and over 400 enthusiasts took demonstration rides.
For more information about how to order customized Victory motorcycles, visit a local Victory dealer or go on line at www.victory-usa.com. Custom orders must be placed by September 27th and will be delivered in time for the Spring 2003 riding season.
